Oberlin’s fifth annual festival of sidewalk chalk art! The public and master artists create works of chalk art using downtown Oberlin sidewalks as “canvases.” All skill levels are welcome. High quality chalk pastels are provided to the public free of charge. The event concludes with a free outdoor concert by The Ron Busch Quartet performing mainstream bop. Saturday, June 26, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
“Celebrate freedom with free activities in Oberlin on June 17, 18, and 19. Juneteenth begins with a comedy night on Thursday. Friday events include an “Oberlin in 1860” trolley tour, children’s book launch, historic Westwood cemetery tour, community picnic, and the Maafa memorial service. Activities continue on Saturday with a downtown parade and festival on Tappan Square. The event concludes Saturday evening with a free outdoor concert by the M.usically I.nclined Band performing Latin jazz, funk, and blues. Presented by Juneteenth Oberlin, Inc.” (www.oberlin.org)
